balance of contacts on a special date

Dear all,

with the webservice 'Reporting - trial balance'  the year starting (01.01.20XX) values of general ledger accounts can be loaded.

I also want get the year beginning balance (01.01.20XX) of contacts und couldn't find a proper API for it. 

Is it technically possible to get this information? If yes, which APIs should be use?

Thank you for your post.

Contact balances are available via the contacts API  using the show_balance query param.

This will return the contact balance as of today but does not accept a date to determine the balance at a point in time.

thanks a lot. it means that it's technically not possible to get the balance of contacts on a special date by webservices,  right?

I have considered whether it's possible to load all the transactions of contacts before a date and summarize all the transactions to build the balance. But it's too complicated, and the opening balance should also be taken into account.

It's not possible to obtain the balance of contacts on a special date via the API's at present.
