Lee Savidge Posted July 1 Posted July 1 We have a number of external endpoints that provide additional services to our customers. To enable this, the customer has had a web services user created that does the job. On creation, an email address was given to that web services user because it requires one. That email address is just "no-reply@" type email address at our domain rather than the customer's domain. Now, every time the service is called to create a PO, once the account manager at the customer's end has approved it, an email is sent which ultimately ends up in my inbox because the no-reply address we use is a distribution group and I'm in it. This is particularly annoying, as today (and this is a regular thing), the working day has been going for about 45 minutes, and I've already received 682 emails saying the PO has been approved. This will increase as the day goes on. Just to give some idea of volume, in the last 12 months, I've received 9000 emails telling me the PO has been approved. The only "fix" I have been given for this is to add a rule to my Outlook to delete them, which I already did, but treating the syptoms doesn't cure the problem. The problem is that these email are sent whether I like it or not and there isn't a way to stop them. Surely it would be a good idea to reduce the load on your side by allowing an option to NOT send these types of email?
