Open a cash drawer via 4GL?

Hello,

We have a cash drawer connected to a receipt printer that takes escape codes. I already have the codes and everything works as expected with our existing POS software. However, we're looking at transitioning to using Sage X3 as the POS, so we can keep everything in-house.

The only thing I cannot figure out is how to run the escape codes via 4GL to open the cash drawer? I tried putting them in the crystal report of the receipt for the receipt printer - no luck as it's just a PDF.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would do it with a JAVA Bundle and then execute the JAVA Bundle from X3...
