Update GL transactions coming from the sub-ledger

Hi,

I am not a programmer.  I am asking on behalf of my customer. Transactions created in the AR module did not automatically send the customer dimension over to the GL unless the user specifically put the customer on the detail lines of any AR transaction.

We have now fixed this and it is automatically putting the customer ID on the detail lines by default. How do I mass update the GL transactions prior to this fix? The client needs this because want to look at the GL report for specific GL accts by customer.

I spoke with a programmer and they cannot do it via API because the GL transactions came from the AR subledger and therefore will not allow them to update.
