Help with connecting through the SAGE50 API

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I have a client that uses Sage 50 for their inventory and customer orders. They also refer to it as Sage 50 Quantum. Now perhaps my Google-Fu is getting weak, but I cannot find ANY good information about either of these items. I'm certain it's due to my overall ignorance of Sage and their offerings but still, it's like a wasteland!

What I am needing to do is to take my Wordpress/Woocommerce website and PULL data from their Sage50 system so that the site visitors can see quantity and pricing data for the inventory items. They can create an order and submit it. Once the order is approved I need to update the Sage system to reflect the order and inventory changes.

I'm good with everything BUT the connection to the Sage server. I believe there's an API for this but finding usable information is proving to be challenging.

I'm not asking anyone to DO this work for me! I'm just hoping someone can at least point me in the right direction on how to get it all setup so that it can communicate nicely. Or perhaps tell me if something like this is even possible.
