How to get Bill of Material report for an assembly using API

Is there a way to get the bill of materials for an assembly using the SDK or ODBC?

I need to be able to run  BOM reports from outside of Sage 50 so that our shop workers can see a complete BOM for a given assembly.

 

Lately I've been using SQL and ODBC to access data from Sage (not the SDK) so I'd like to do the same for a BOM report. 

CAn someone assist with this?  Mainly looking for some explanations on how the LINEITEM database table is configured and how to interpret/read BOMs using SQL.

Is it the UK variant of Sage 50 you're using? If yes, please join the UK ISVs and Developers club and one of my colleagues will be able to help not. If not, let you know and I'll point you in the right direction for support.
