How to create an integer custom field?

I need to add an integer field to a table but I can't find that in the datatype drop down. Is there a trick or are integers not available?

You can add a number field with no decimal places. If the user puts in a decimal amount, it will be rounded to the appropriate value on save. But no, there is no integer field.
