API for Sage 50?

Hi, can someone tell me what the correct API for Sage 50 is? I know Sage Accounting has an API but is this just for the cloud version?

For Sage 50 (the desktop program) what do we require in order to update orders via a website or API?

Hi Ravi, thank you for your question.

At present there is no supported API available for Sage 50c UK. 

For the UK version of Sage 50c the only means of currently writing data is via the SDK, known as Sage Data Objects. As the name suggests, this is a set of low level data access components that allows data to be written and retrieved from the Sage 50c data files. 

To access the SDK, you would need to become a member of the UK Sage Developers Program(Presuming this is for the UK).  Further information can be obtained from [email protected]

I want to access the Sage 200c API:
There is no cost for the API and it can be downloaded from here

I want to access the Sage 50c and/or Sage 200c SDK:
For Sage 50c the cost is £2,500+VAT per annum. Benefits include:

• SDK access
• Test copies of the products to develop against
• Developer support
• Annual cost can be billed monthly

For Sage 200c the cost is £3,996+ VAT per annum. Benefits include:

• SDK access for Sage 50c and 200c
• Test copies of the products to develop against
• Developer support
• Annual cost can be billed monthly
