Use a field to store a URL link to an external resource which links to a document/file

Hello,

I am looking for an option to store a URL (like from Sharepoint) into a field in Sage Accounting to avoid uploading the entire file but keep it in an internal system.

Any idea?

Hi Stefan,

You'll probably need to look for a free text field with a large character allowance. If the URL is related to a specific artefact such as a sales_invoice for example the notes field would be ideal for this.

Thanks for your response.

I saw the Notes field and of course, I can use it. However, it does not format as a link sor that a user cannot directly click on the link but has to copy it to a browser address.

Any type of field that can host a URL as a direct link?
