Frederick Almond Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Is it possible and or necessary to change a Web Services Sender ID and password every so often?
Members Sterio, Louis Posted May 7, 2024 Members Posted May 7, 2024 Yes it is possible, you would need to open up a case to ask for a sender ID password reset. When we do this for you please be aware that any integration using that sender ID will break until you update the password on the respective integrations. Support will also let you know this. Yes sometimes it is necessary, especially when you feel the credentials have been compromised. 1
Frederick Almond Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 (edited) Thanks @Sterio, Louis, a few follow-up questions: Are the password requirements for the sender ID the same as for a user password? Are we able to supply a new sender password ourselves? Our company would like to rotate it every so often according to our own policies. How long can we expect a sender_password change request to take? I ask because our company will be running this integration often and need to make sure we can update our systems in a timely manner. Members Sterio, Louis Posted May 13, 2024 Members Posted May 13, 2024 I believe we do have similar password requirements for sender ID's. Yes you supply your own password, you initiate this process through a support case. Please check the SLA's in your agreement on turn around times.
